So according to my favourite website ever Wikipedia "Doorway pages are web pages that are created for spamdexing, this is, for spamming the index of a search engine by inserting results for particular phrases with the purpose of sending visitors to a different page. They are also known as bridge pages, portal pages, jump pages, gateway pages, entry pages and by other names. Doorway pages that redirect visitors without their knowledge use some form of cloaking."
Looking Into The Future
But this definition would be suitable may be in 2008 but google has moved on, technology has moved on and so are the methods and purposes involved in creating doorway page.The link farms needs to adapt to the changes in google's alogrithm and what was important in 2008 is no longer important.
